Description
Samostan i crkva su izgrađeni na posjedu Ivana Jakova von Eggendorffa, kojega je on darovao kapucinima. Samostan je završen 1710. g., a između 1721. i 1723. g. započelo se je s gradnjom crkve stavljene pod zaštitu sv. Jakova, apostola. Crkva se gradila sve do 1727. g. Po završetku gradnje crkvu je posvetio, prema dopuštenju ostrogonskog nadbiskupa, đakovačko-bosanski biskup Petar Bakić de Lack 7. rujna 1727. g. Sve do 1920. g. samostan i crkva su pripadali Austrijsko-mađarskoj provinciji. U samostanu je od 1954. do 1971. godine djelovalo naše malo sjemenište i Serafska srednja škola za spremanje svećenika. Godine 1963. samostanu je oduzet, gotovo, cijeli vrt.
